AM Best's 2025 Student Challenge

AM Best’s 2025 Student Challenge is an insurance solution-based competition. The purpose of the Challenge is to empower undergraduate and graduate students by taking them beyond the classroom—promoting thought leadership and innovation in the field of insurance and risk management.

The Challenge provides students with valuable exposure to insurance professionals and gives them experience for their resume, while also introducing new insurance/risk management talent to the industry.

Finalists are: 

• Dynamic Inventory Management App for Homeowners: Tausif Utchhash & Connor Donahue - University of Akron
  
• Tropical Storm Parametric Microinsurance Solution in Latin America and the Caribbean: Hernán Burgos & Alexander Porte – UW-Madison – Wisconsin School of Business
  
• Insurance Education Tool for New & Small Business: Tom Budz - Florida State University
