Flea markets and farmers' markets are public venues where independent vendors and farmers rent space to reach thousands of customers in a single day. Market owners and operators derive the bulk of their revenue from the rent money that vendors and farmers pay for space (often called "stalls" or "booths"), although some will also charge patrons a modest admission fee to enter the market area or to park in an adjacent lot.
