AM Best held its briefing for the Italian insurance market in Milan on Wednesday, 12 June 2024.
At the half-day conference, senior AM Best officials and analysts examined the latest observed trends in the global reinsurance industry; outlined the latest Italian insurance outlook, and presented on how re/insurers are navigating the heightened operating environment and increased inter-connection of risks that is described as the "Perma/Polycrisis". The session included a look at IFRS17, one of the current hot topics for re/insurers. The factors and decisions leading to companies obtaining a credit rating were also discussed.
The programme concluded with a networking lunch.
