A.M. Best Asia-Pacific Limited (AMBAP) is based in Hong Kong and provides credit rating services to the Asia-Pacific region. AMBAP has been registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission since June of 2011, to carry out credit rating activities in Hong Kong.

The company has also been registered as a credit rating agency in New Zealand by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since April 2011. In Australia AMBAP has held a wholesale licence number 411055 since October 2011 and is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). This licence allows AMBAP to issue credit rating opinions and for these opinions to be used in the wholesale financial services sector.
