AM Best

In the Community

We work together to improve the world we share. Through our Charitable Work Day Program and charitable drives, our employees are encouraged to become active volunteers and partners in their communities. Below are just a few of the events our employees have been involved in.

Charitable Work Day

America's Grow-A-Row

Each year, department teams help harvest tens of thousands of pounds of vegetables at America's Grow-A-Row — a non-profit organization that provides fresh produce to those facing hunger.

Team members have picked squash, tomatoes, potatoes and other vegetables, which are then distributed to area food pantries. The work can be hot and tiring but is very rewarding.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry provides food and personal care items to people in Hunterdon County who are food insecure.

AM Best team members sort and shelve items, greet and distribute groceries to clients and help with clerical and office tasks.

Larry Grantham Charity Golf Classic

AM Best employees volunteer at the Larry Grantham Charity Golf Classic, which is a fundraising event that supports Freedom House — an organization that provides residential and outpatient addiction recovery programs.

Team members greet and check in golfers, sell raffle tickets and provide on-course oversight and support.

Amsterdam - Plastic Fishing Team Event

Amsterdam team members volunteer to clean up nearby canals of plastic and debris via boat. The plastic collected is recycled into new items, including more boats to further this eco-friendly mission. The team that collects the most rubbish wins a prize of local chocolate.

Charitable Drives

Adopt-a-family gift pile

Oldwick - Adopt-A-Family

The Adopt-a-Family program provides funds for a holiday meal and essential household items for families in need, as well as fulfilling wish lists for children.

Adopt-a-Family is a meaningful way for colleagues to work together to support our surrounding community with NORWESCAP.
